Dancetopia was founded by Beckie Ruddock in 2008 and has now moved to the Buckinghamshire area. Dancetopia aims to cater for all areas of dance and performance work, ranging from working with nurseries, schools, colleges to offering dance classes in the local area.

 Dancetopia will also branch out and become a touring company, using its members who wish to be involved through an audition process to show pieces of work to a wider area. Dancetopia creates its own stimulus based on its pupils and their individual needs whilst also liaising with the educational sectors to create lessons and work, based on their educational requirements.

Dancetopia creates and teaches dance by utilising its pupils, drawing on their own experiences and by experimenting with new ideas aimed to stretch even the most demanding dancers. Dancetopia explores many different dance styles as well as incorporating mask work and physical theatre.  The company aims to expand and offer a range of dance classes and dance clubs to a much wider area of the community. We want to introduce dance to all of those people who have always considered dance but have never done anything about it or those that wanted to start but we’re unable to because of their age, ability or any other circumstances. We want to inspire and encourage our members and offer them the best possible dance experience in their area.
